Current Temptation: Raphsodic Bakery Cupcakes!

These beautiful cupcakes are my current temptation.

Eighteen vegan, gluten-free, and DELICIOUS cupcakes are sitting in my fridge, begging to be devoured.

If you are vegan and/or following a gluten-free diet and live in the Orlando area, you NEED to check out Raphsodic Bakery on Mills Ave. Located right next to the Colonial/ST RD 50 intersection, this co-op is a haven of delectable treats and kind bakers.

I’ve always been greeted with a smile (and a free sample), and I’ve never made it out of the store without a box of goodies to savor for the week.

I can’t speak highly enough for the quality of their products, their customer service, and the overall warmth of their environment. In fact, when I called in my order last night (I pre-paid for two cupcake boxes after they announced a special on Facebook!), they threw in two free scones (also vegan and gluten-free) as a thank you for my repeat business.

Seriously, how amazing is that?

Regardless of what diet you’re on, Raphsodic Bakery is the place to go in Orlando when you’ve got a sweet tooth. So, what are you waiting for? Go check them out and tell them Victoria Elizabeth sent you! 🙂

Bon appetit, my friends!

Tuesday Accountability Report

My sweet tooth was in overdrive today and I definitely overindulged. Whoops!

I was at work 9-9 again so I wasn’t able to make it to the gym again (second day in a row).

I plan to hit the gym HARD tomorrow (think 2+ hours cardio AND strength training) to cancel out some of the munchies I’ve had the last 24 hours.

Hope everyone else has been doing better with clean eating than I have this week! 🙂

Bon appetit, my friends!

Cadbury Creme Eggs

While I recognize that most people consider YESTERDAY to be the holiday, today is a near-religious experience for me.

Why?

Because Easter candy goes on sale today.

For those who don’t know, I’m ADDICTED to Cadbury Creme Eggs. Ever since I was a young child, I’ve been obsessed with their gooey, sugary filling and milk chocolate shell. Most adults grow out of their obsession – they are ungodly sweet, after all – but my obsession has actually grown with age.

For the last three weeks, I’ve eaten at LEAST one Cadbury Creme Egg per day. Today, I plan to visit every CVS, Walgreens, Target, and grocery store in a five mile radius to stock up on all the Cadbury eggs they have left. While my preference is for the original (the fondant-filled “yolk” egg), I’m also a huge fan of the chocolate cream and caramel-filled versions, as well.

My goal today: to acquire 100+ eggs.

Don’t worry – I’m not planning to binge on them. I’ve attempted to eat a dozen in one sitting before and I did NOT fair well.

In this case, my goal is to stockpile as many eggs as possible so that I can freeze them for the egg-drought that is the summer and early fall. It’s not until Halloween comes around and the “Scream Eggs” appear that I can get my fix again, so I’m going to take a chapter from the tale of The Ant and the Grasshopper and prepare now so I don’t suffer later. 🙂

On that note, bon appetit, my friends! Enjoy this beautiful Monday!
